Leah Hughes, ACNP-BC

Leah is a board-certified acute care nurse practitioner with over 20 years’ experience in healthcare, and extensive experience in functional medicine. She has worked in various functional medicine practices, and is very knowledgeable in treating patients with hormone, thyroid, and adrenal disorders. Leah specializes in the in-depth testing and treatment of patients with digestive disorders, mood disorders and complex chronic conditions such as mold, Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS), Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) and Lymes.

Leah has a passion for learning! She has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology as well as in Nursing. Leah worked as a critical care nurse before obtaining her Master’s degree in Nursing. Leah loves to educate herself and has gained extensive knowledge of a wide variety of evidence-based functional medicine treatments. She received her certification in Functional Medicine from The American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M). Leah’s goal is to use her expertise to provide the answers to her patient’s complex health conditions and help patients experience a vibrant, healthy life.

Leah has lived in Kentucky and Texas, but now calls Colorado home.  Leah enjoys exploring the beautiful Colorado outdoors by hiking and camping with her fiancé and their puppy Blue!
